Understanding how children with hearing loss interact

July 14, 2017

Brenda Johan Portugal

Starting in March, Brenda now works on the actual data collection in Portugal for her PhD project. The project, supervised in Portugal by Dr. Guida Veiga (University of Evora), in collaboration with two Portuguese hospitals (Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa, Dr. Luísa Monteiro and Hospital Dona Estefânia, Dr. Herédio Sousa), focuses on young children with a hearing loss and their social development.

In the last week of May on the European Symposium on Paediatric Cochlear Implantation (ESPCI), Brenda and Prof. Johan Frijns met with our Portuguese collaborators, to discuss the progress of the Portuguese project. (In the photo from left to right: Brenda Sousa da Silva, Prof. Dr. Ir.
